Graham Duncan

Graham Duncan, co-founder of East Rock, started East Rock in 2005 to manage the Miller family’s capital. Graham previously worked at two multi-manager hedge funds and before that he co-founded an independent Wall Street research firm.  Graham graduated from Yale with a BA in Ethics, Politics, and Economics. He serves on the board of the Sohn Conference Foundation and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.

Adam Shapiro

Adam Shapiro, co-founder of East Rock, was previously in the Special Situations Group at Goldman, Sachs & Co. Prior to Goldman, Mr. Shapiro worked in the Private Equity and Mezzanine Finance Groups at Darby Overseas Investments, Ltd. Mr. Shapiro graduated from Yale with a BA in Ethics, Politics, and Economics, was a Fulbright Scholar in Argentina, and received an MBA from Columbia University. He serves on the Advisory Board of the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR) and on the Board of Echoing Green, a provider of seed capital to social entrepreneurs.

Patrick Andersen

Patrick Andersen joined East Rock Capital in 2007. Mr. Andersen previously worked at Luxor Capital, a special situations fund, where he covered Asian equity investments and event driven investments in the U.S. Prior to Luxor, he worked at Putnam Investments as a high yield analyst. Mr. Andersen graduated from Williams College with a BA in Mathematics and Economics.

Nichole Wagner

Nichole Wagner joined East Rock Capital in 2013. She was previously Director of Investments at SF Capital Group, a single family office. In that role she oversaw manager selection, as well as diligence efforts on co-investment and direct opportunities. Prior to SF, she worked at the investment consulting firm Veritable. Ms. Wagner graduated from Penn State with a BS in Finance.

Michael Marks

Michael Marks joined East Rock Capital in 2007. He was previously a securities litigation attorney primarily representing institutional investors. Prior to being an attorney, Mr. Marks was an auditor in the financial services group at Ernst & Young. He is a CPA and a member of the New York State Bar. Mr. Marks holds a JD from Brooklyn Law School and a BS in Accounting from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
